We are The KARENS, a dedicated group of volunteers who have come together to make a difference in the lives of dogs in Detroit. Founded in 2021, our mission is to rescue and provide essential care for animals in need.
At our non-profit organization, the K9 Animal Rescue Emergency Networking System (KARENS), we work tirelessly to ensure the well-being of dogs in our community. From providing safe shelter and warm straw bedding to nourishing food and, most importantly, an abundance of love, we strive to give these animals a chance at a better life.
Our impact goes beyond the walls of our rescue center. We foster strong connections with the Detroit community, pet stores, and fellow dog rescue organizations, all working together to make a positive change. We are immensely grateful for the support we receive from our dedicated followers, ranging from generous personal donors to enthusiastic Girl Scouts.
